Computer & Web-Based Training

VSR provides web-based and desktop training modules that may be used to provide your staff with baseline security training. Courses cover organizational security awareness and application developer training. The module content is modeled around providing background for secure architectures, common vulnerabilities and using proper frameworks and coding techniques to reduce the likelihood of security vulnerabilities.

Security Fundamentals

VSR Security Fundamentals lessons explain security concepts critical to designing and implementing secure applications and networks. High-level concepts are presented to give the student a basic understanding of security principles, tradeoffs and attacks.

Security Risks

VSR Security Risks lessons detail the mechanisms used by attackers to exploit weaknesses in software implemenations and network designs. These lessons provide the student with background detail covering the main techniques and variations used to exploit system weaknesses, then proceed to explain how properly constructed systems can prevent and deter these forms of attack.

These lessons cover secure coding techniques in popular languages and frameworks, including Java, .NET, Perl and Ruby.
